2005 Emerging Leader Award
Jessica Edris '00
The Emerging Leader award is presented to an alumnus or alumna who graduated within the last 10 years for his or her dedicated service and leadership to Moravian College. The Alumni Association gratefully acknowledges Jessica Edris ’00 for her exemplary service to Moravian.
In 2000 Jessica Edris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Moravian College with a 3.8 GPA, a double major in Business Management and Philosophy, and a double minor in English and Financial Economics. She applied her sharp intellect and leadership abilities not only to her academics, but to a broad area of student life. A member of the national leadership society, ODK, Jessica also participated in the International Economics Honor Society and the philosophy club. She served as an admissions ambassador through Moravian’s Twenty Six Points; and as a student advisor, she developed mentoring skills that she continued to use for Moravian students after graduation. During her frequent visits to campus as an alumna, she has served as a career mentor, a career panelist, and a table host for both the Senior Breakfast and the Freshman Banquet. She has also attended numerous alumni events, from freshman welcome picnics to young alumni and regional alumni programs. In 2002 Jessica joined the Young Alumni Board. Recognizing her valuable leadership skills, the board soon elected her to become a very active Vice President, and later an equally active president. As the Young Alumni Board president, she spoke at several events on campus and also served on the Alumni Board. Even in her professional work in both the non-profit and the finance sectors, Moravian was on her mind as she used every opportunity to develop relationships with alumni and reconnect them to their Alma Mater. Jessica and her husband Chad live in Bethlehem with their new baby, Grace. It is our pleasure to recognize Jessica Edris for her dedication and support of Moravian.
