BETHLEHEM, PA, SEPTEMBER 14, 2018: Today, Moravian College and  announced that they will sign an articulation agreement between the two schools on Monday, September 17 at 3:00 p.m. in the Snyder Room in the Haupert Union Building on Moravian College’s Main Street campus at  in Bethlehem, Pa.  This agreement, beginning with the 2018 – 2019 academic year, will allow qualified Moravian students to be eligible to attend Rutgers Law School following their junior year in order to complete both their bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees in a total of six years, rather than seven.

“Moravian is thrilled to enter into this partnership with Rutgers Law School,” said Uppinder Mehan, dean of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences at Moravian College.  “We’re very confident that many of our talented students will find this is an excellent option if they’re interested in pursuing a law career at an exceptional institution.”

This program will be known as a 3+3 Early Admission Program and the Juris Doctor will be awarded on successful completion of the required 84 course credits of Law schoolwork and all other Juris Doctor requirements (typically after three years as a full-time student at Rutgers Law School).

“This program is a rare ‘win-win-win,’ offering benefits to Rutgers Law, to Moravian, and most importantly, to the students,” commented Michael T. Cahill, co-dean of Rutgers Law School.  “Over the course of the program, they will experience the best of both worlds: the charm and intimate learning environment of a liberal-arts college community, and the affordability and career opportunities afforded by a flagship public law school with a large professional network.”
