BETHLEHEM, PA., December 14 , 2017: Today, Moravian College published the winners of the 17th Annual Alumni Awards that were announced during a ceremony on Saturday, December 9 at Foy Concert Hall on the college鈥檚 Priscilla Payne Hurd campus. The awards include the Comenius Award, the Benigna Education Award, the Young Alumni Achievement Award, the Haupert Humanitarian Award, and the Medallion of Merit.
鈥淢oravian College is fortunate to have relationships with so many outstanding and accomplished professionals in our alumni community,鈥 said Gary Carney, vice president for institutional advancement at Moravian College. 鈥淭hese awards provide us with a unique opportunity to not only recognize their professional achievements in their chosen fields, but their contributions to Moravian College and the community at large.鈥
The list of the alumni honored include Virginia Hinders 鈥07 (Young Alumni Achievement Award), Hakim Myers 鈥09 (Emerging Leader Award), Cindy Stein 鈥79 (Benigna Education Award), Ann Flood 鈥96 (Haupert Humanitarian Award), Deborah McKinnon, J.D., 鈥73 (Medallion of Merit Award), and Margaret McClure 鈥61 (Comenius Alumni Award).
On Saturday evening the college also recognized the Moravian College students who have been named 2017 Alumni Fellows; including Mary Kate Duncan 鈥18, Adriana Facchiano 鈥19, Eric Morton 鈥18 and Vaughn Tempesta 鈥19.
