BETHLEHEM, PA., November 16, 2017: Today, Moravian College announced that it will host the 3rd Annual Michael L. Karapetian '97 Entrepreneurship Symposium in the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences on Sunday, November 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Main Street campus of Moravian College at 1107 Main Street, Bethlehem, Pa.
鈥淭he goal for the symposium is to instill in its participants a practical sense of how to apply their business education,鈥 said Michael L. Karapetian '97. 鈥淭hrough this experience, it鈥檚 my hope that the participants come to realize that education doesn鈥檛 end with college, especially as it pertains to business.鈥
Similar to the ABC television show Shark Tank, the symposium will feature 24 Moravian College students pitching their business ideas in the hopes of advancing to the next round for the chance to win $4,000 to launch their idea. Speakers scheduled for the symposium include Jeanne Petrucci 鈥86, MS, RDN, founder of Living Plate, Joe Durso 鈥09, owner of KITCH Organic, Cliff Jackson 鈥09, founder of Gravity Rail Media and Drew Shreter 鈥12, director of business development for Prosthetic Orthotic Management Associates Corporation(POMAC)
