Reeves Library contains a collection of more than 196,000 print volumes, access to more than 6,000 e-journals, and over 252,000 E-books It provides study space for more than 400 students, including study tables, individual carrels, group study areas, lounge seating, and study rooms. Movable tables, chairs and expandable white boards are available on the lower level that allow students to create their own spaces.
On the Web
Reeves Library's website (www.moravian.edu/library) includes access to all its online services, including the library's online public access catalog. Faculty, staff and students may access research databases, full-text articles, e-books, and more from off campus by entering their network ID and password. Librarians are available to help with access issues and research inquiries on campus, as well as online through Reeves Library's chat interface.
Borrowing
Books and other materials may be checked out for three weeks. Honors students may keep books for the academic year. Independent study and graduate students may keep them for the semester. Books may be renewed online. Overdue books accrue fines of ten cents a day; in lieu of paying a fine, students may contribute an item to Mo’s Cupboard.
Reserve
Materials on reserve are located through the online catalog.
Scanning
Photocopying has been replaced with copiers that allow one to scan documents to your email or to a google drive.
Reference
Reference librarians are available for assistance in the use of library resources Mondays through Friday; 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Library instruction is available for classes and groups. Users can always contact reference librarians via the "Ask a Librarian" link on the library homepage.
Direct loan
With their Moravian ID, students have access to the library collections of LVAIC member colleges and universities: Cedar Crest, Lafayette, and Muhlenberg Colleges, and DeSales and Lehigh Universities. The combined holdings of LVAIC libraries amount to about 2 million volumes and 20,000 serial titles.
Interlibrary loan
Access to library resources throughout the United States is also available. Interlibrary loan requests are submitted electronically. Before submitting the request, students are encouraged to discuss their research with a reference librarian.
Multimedia resources
The Zinzenko Room on the library’s lower level offers access to recording and sound studios.
