International Friendship Family Program
We are happy to welcome our international students to ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« as our newest Greyhounds. Our international students are with their classes, but we also want to make sure that they feel ingratiated with our Moravian community and enjoy their time at their new home away from home. This is why the Center for Global Education created the Friendship Family program.
What Is It?
The Friendship Family Program is a cross-cultural program where we pair up international students with Moravian community members and their families. Our students and community members can spend time together and connect by doing whatever they want to do. You can go apple-picking, explore downtown Bethlehem, or even just relax at home and share a home-cooked meal. Think of this program as an opportunity for our international students to make adult friends and create a support network outside of their current friend community that they have on our campus.
Benefits
This is a program that is dedicated to making connections and friendships with those that are different from you. Our Moravian families can learn about different cultures and customs from international students while our international students can learn about what life is like living in the United States. You are welcome to invite our international students into your home, but you do not have to worry about hosting them. Our students already have housing either on or off campus.
How to Join
If you are interested in joining our Friendship Family program, families and international students can fill out the profiles to be matched. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at international@moravian.edu.
