Transportation Policy

ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« Police Department Protocol for Request for Student Transport

As a courtesy, upon request, the ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« Police Department will attempt to accommodate a student’s request for transport while traveling on or between the various ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« campuses. Such transport will be made when there is ample coverage on campus and the campus is not left unprotected while the transport is being made. Upon receiving a request for a transport, the dispatcher will advise the student if their request will be accommodated, based on officer availability at the time of the request.

The ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« Police Department will provide a courtesy transport of students when possible, under the following conditions:

  • When a student expresses a concern for their safety while traveling on or between the various ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« campuses, including the parking lots utilized by our campus constituents.
  • When a student needs a ride while traveling on or between the various ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« campuses, outside of the shuttle’s normal service hours of operation.
  • When a student with an approved accommodation needs a ride while traveling on, between, or in close proximity to the various ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« campuses.

The aforementioned information about transports is not all inclusive. It is meant to provide guidelines and outlines the most frequently received requests by ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« Police Department for transport. If a request is received which is not mentioned above, the request will be reviewed by the shift supervisor who will determine if ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« Police Department is able to provide the transport.
