Because the Writing Center is located on the second floor of Zinzendorf Hall, a building that is not accessible to individuals with mobility impairments, we offer opportunities to meet with consultants in Reeves Library or online. If you find that an accommodation in location or other services is needed to fully support your writing goals, contact Writing Center and Writing Fellows Program Coordinator, Chris Hassay, at hassayc@moravian.edu and the Office of Disability & Accommodations (ODA) at 610-861-1401 or asc@moravian.edu .
What to Expect
A typical session is 30 minutes long, and Writing Center consultants are able to work with projects on any topic at any stage of the writing process. Come prepared to have a productive conversation about your work by gathering all of your notes and drafts, research and supplemental readings, assignment guidelines, and any questions or concerns you have about your work. Consultants can help you with text-based papers and multimodal projects at any stage of the writing process, so a complete draft or finished project is not necessary. After your session, your consultants will share a synopsis of the appointment your professor (with your permission) to notify them of your appointment and provide an overview of topics covered.
