Public Health

Public health focuses on preventing disease and promoting health within communities. It is a broad discipline that influences many aspects of our lives, from access to healthy foods in our neighborhood to wearing a seatbelt in the car and brushing our teeth with fluoridated water. Public health interventions can save millions of lives at a time and this field contains some of the fastest growing occupations in the United States. What We Offer

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Public Health
  • Public Health 3-Year Program
  • Minor in Public Health

What Sets Us Apart

Public Health is the first program across ÑÇÖÞÇéÉ« to offer a 3-year degree. Students may work as soon as they finish their education or pursue graduate school to earn their master’s degree. This is a great opportunity for students solely dedicated to their studies and could fast-track their path to a master’s degree.

With a public health degree, students can pursue a variety of careers in the fields of epidemiology, public policy and administration, global health, social and behavioral science, nutrition, mental health, nursing, environmental health, and so much more.

Make yourself more marketable to employers when you graduate with public health competencies in health communication, biostatistics, epidemiology, program planning, and professional development. Here you’ll learn to create health infographics and podcasts, develop a public health logic model, analyze data with statistical software, present a research poster, and prepare for the workforce and graduate school–just to name a few.

"The curriculum and mentorship provided by ÑÇÖÞÇéɫ’s Public Health Program gave me a comprehensive education and supported the development of professional skills that I use daily as an employee of the federal government."
